Client
A renowned fabric shop that deals in wholesale and retail African Fabric. It has 3 outlets in major towns.
Challenge
The management has confidence in the business and its key locations but the outlets are battling with dead stock and having difficulties breaking even in their monthly sales. Despite being in a lucrative niche, they cannot make more sales and ensure each outlet stands fully on its feet.
Solution
The African shop management contacted a marketing expert to evaluate the business and provide strategies that can be adopted.
The marketer discovered that the outlets are not attracting new customers and the existing ones would like a fresh batch of stock for different designs. He advised that the outlets should introduce digital marketing into their business, where they are to use social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube to showcase, promote, and sell their products. He also advised that the management should revamp the business to give it a new look, restock the outlets, and create an e-commerce shop, and a platform for customer reviews.
Results
After a short while, the outlets began attracting more customers worldwide, their products reached a vast number of customers who shopped online and they got more recommendations. Their social platforms acquired a huge following which provided an extract source of income for the business.
In the end, the outlets were able to meet their expenses and make more profit which provided room for expansion.
